The fifteenth and sixteenth centuries in Europe was a period of incredible transformation that today historians refer to as the Renaissance. Describe this period. Why does it serve as a decisive break between the medieval and the modern world? What does the term Renaissance mean and why did it occur first in Northern Italy? What were the general characteristics of Renaissance Humanism?

Kid you should really do your own homework. Also, the Renaissance is not Ancient History. Ancient History goes further back. Finally, if you just googled the Renaissance and read a bit, you would be able to easily answer this question.
