White contemporary kitchen?
I have a smaller sized kitchen 10×11 and I’m thinking of updating it. Since I just bought the house I am broke so I am just planning for now. I want white cabinets but since the rest of my house is done in a contemporary style, I am wondering what colors I should be looking at for countertop and appliances. Most of the pictures I find of white kitchens are in traditional or country styles.
Look on the Euro kitchen web sites or pick up a few kitchen design magazines at a bookstore. They will feature contemporary white. Its not so much the color as the style of the cabinets. More contemporary: slab front cabinets, no moulding, stainless hardware, solid surfacing for the counters (such as caesarstone–granite is more traditional), sleep frameless glass uppers (sand blasted), Stainless steel toe kicks, simple steel cabinet legs; simple contemporary cabinet handles & pulls, etc.
