How do you find the value of a Toulose-Lautrec lithograph d’apres of Yvette Guilbert.?

This lithograph was authenicated in 1978 by the Collier Art Co. in Los Angeles. It is sketch of Yvette Guilbert with long black gloves on. Can supply photos. It is for sale

Hello,

I’m an art historian who has worked with works on paper for a major museum for many years.

I am familiar with your image although it is probably a poster reproduction of this work at the link below. It’s titled, “Yvette Guilbert Greeting the Audience” painted in 1894; Oil over reproduction on photographic paper, 48 x 28 cm; Musée Toulouse-Lautrec, Albi. I do not know for sure if the image was ever reproduced as a lithograph, but you could write the Musee Toulouse-Lautrec in Albi or investigate with the Collier Art Co., customer service people if they’re still in business.

Lautrec’s resurgence in popularity in the 1970’s makes me suspect that you may have an “authentic” reproduction on your hands.

Good Luck,
